Fluttershy decides to go after the Rare Animal Sighting Badge for the Trail Trotters troop competition, and she sets her sights on a mysterious creature named Bighoof. According to Fluttershy's friends, Bighoof is very territorial, and its captured victims are transformed into Bighoofs themselves. Despite this, Fluttershy is determined to get a picture of the creature.
As the Mane 6 venture into the forest, they quickly become lost, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie go missing, and large hoofprints that appear to have left by Bighoof are discovered. Eventually, the rest of the ponies encounter a giant shadowy figure with antlers. When Rainbow Dash attacks the figure, it turns to be Fluttershy helping Pinkie Pie after she got stuck in a tree.
With the day coming to an end, Fluttershy is disappointed over not being able to get her Rare Animal Sighting Badge, but she is glad to have gone on a fun hike with her friends. As the Mane 6 take a selfie together, they see Bighoof lurking in the picture's background.
